Tom Ford: Hero

I saw this bottle in the store and had to shoot it. I'm currently working on a series of perfume images as a personal project, and this one is the first to many to come. Stay tuned...

Total Recall Remake

I was always a fan of 90's version of the film with Arnold, and am excited to see the 2012's version of Total Recall. The original version was definitely a standout and pretty cool for its time. But with current technology, I think that this remake will be a knockout, and will really be able to bring to life this futuristic society. I'll definitely miss Schwarzenegger as the lead, but have high expectations with the new cast. This is on my list to watch this summer.

Sneak Peak: Astrobal Music Video Shoot

After months of preparation, Carlo Paolo Espiritu and I worked with his amazing team to produce and shoot a music video for Astrobal. The 12 hour shoot consisted of cool graphics, big hair, sweet costumes, and a great crew to work with. Special thanks to the beautiful Julia Konrad Viezzer for being such a sport on set and able to transition flawlessly from one look to the next. I'll keep you posted once the final video is released from the editing room!

Sequence

I've been doing some more experimentation with sequencing. It's another one of my new favorite shots - of Young's Double Chocolate Stout.

More Food & Bev Shots

I did another experimental food shoot with stylist Grace Knott this week. Of the shoots we've done so far, this is one of my favorite images. I placed a honeycomb on top of the beer to emphasize its honey flavor, and I love how the drip turned out! It's a clean, straight forward, beautiful shot. I'm excited to do more soon.

Getting Iced!

This week I did a personal food and beverage shoot with stylist Grace Knott. We shot for four days and played around with some really fun products. This was one of my favorites of the week, partly because of the bright contrast and partly because we took "getting iced" so literally for the shot. Water Shoot for Evo Design: Tonina

I had a blast shooting this product designed by Evo Design, a design consultancy located in Connecticut. The product is a handheld marine acoustic detector used by the NOAA. The handheld device helps inspect marine mammal deterrents to make sure they are functioning properly. My goal for this shoot was to accentuate the overall design of the product by choosing an interesting angle that showcases the form with clear lighting and an interesting splash.

Stop Motion Music Video: Literally Sweet

I stumbled upon this gem while surfing the web. The video is called In Your Arms by Kina Grannis. It took thousands of jelly beans, 2 years to create the art, and 1 year to shoot. The stop motion scenes are amazing! Huge fan of this clever video. Check it out.

Moses Bridge: Hot Spot Photo Location

I'm always searching for a new hot spot to shoot, and I think I just found a pretty interesting location. A lot of fun could be had here!

F Tape: The Rise Of The Fashion Stylist

I really enjoyed reading this post: The Rise of the Fashion Stylist on Ftape. Great insight from talented and respected stylists in the fashion industry. The article includes personal interviews from 4 creative stylists. They discuss everything from personal dream teams, trends, to evolving roles within the industry.

Batman meets Harley

I've always loved motorcycles, and used to own a sport bike ages ago. But this is my first Harley, and I love it. I was attracted to the matte black finish and its unusually smaller frame for a Harley since its a Sportster. It's great for taking day trips out of the city to shoot some cool personal projects. One of my favorite accessories I have for my bike are the saddle bags designed by Peter Jackson at PlunderDog.com. He was exceptionally easy to work with on the design, and his quality of work is exceptional. I recommend him if you are ever looking for custom designs. He is working on launching his new site soon. Keep an eye out!

My new toy: 127mm Rolleidoscop Stereo Camera

I have been searching for this camera for some time. There were supposedly only hundreds made in 1927, and this was the first one I've seen with this quality, and I finally get to play with it. I'll be sure to post the pics once I get out and use it.

Apparel: Girl's Night Out

Loved this crazy, fun background, and the contrast between the gold and silver. Styled by Paul Petzy.
